The Voyage Continues…

The Wheelhouse 2017

Today I loosen the ropes and slip my moorings to drift away from my artistic home at Trinity Bouy Wharf. It is time to leave the physical form of The Wheelhouse and continue to Dream the Voyage to a yet unknown destination.

A new artist will move in and create their own responses, giving a fresh voice to many influences present, and I wish them well. I trust they will grow to love it as deeply as I have over the years.

However, this is not the end, but a new beginning. The Wheelhouse will stay with me in the truest presence of being in my awareness. My voyages will continue to have a hub, a safe place from which to guide the wildest of travels, giving a security against the vagaries of life and fortunes.

I have watched the Wharf thrive over the years, and it gives hope that there is are places in this mixed up chaotic world for artists of all ages and disciplines. I will be posting a retrospective set of photos of my time at TBW and over the next year will be making a short film with my collaborator, the artist Tony Malone, of projects undertaken and others dreamed of. And of course continuing to sail on Dream Voyages.

I bid a fond farewell and massive thank you to John Burton, who had faith in me at the very beginning of this great adventure, and to all at Urban Space Management at Trinity Bouy Wharf, including Martyn Wills.

But for today, a fond farewell…
